(Before Illness) and I have even managed to lose 4lbs in the first week. My life seems to be the most normal it has been since B.I.

I have an appointment to see Dr Sree on the 28th July for my yearly check up, so I will be having a blood test any day for SVR (sustained viral response) as it takes around 3 weeks for the results to come through. Feeling as well as I do, I can't believe the virus has come back, so fingers crossed. It is just 8 days away from a year since I finished treatment, unbelievable really. Next entry to blog will be after the 28th.

Health improvements

A few weeks further on and my health continues to improve. I have played a couple of rounds of golf and the worst was the achey feet afterwards, but a bath soon helped to ease that. I have been fishing and for some reason find that that is more tiring than golf, no idea why when I'm sat down all day! I have been power walking and using the treadmill on wet days. I tried to follow a beginners guide to running where you run 1 minute, walk 3 minutes x 10. I actually started with 30 seconds running but I did manage to double that time by the end of the first week. Halfway through the second week I hit a wall and haven't been doing any power walking since. Think it was too much too soon. So its just gentle walks with the dog at the moment. So I seem to have a few normal days and then I seem to need a rest day to recover. I'm sure the extra weight I'm carrying doesn't help matters either! I've read on the forums that everyone seems to get this weight increase or big tummy following tx so I am not by myself.

I have had an mri scan on the arm that I broke to see if I need an operation and I get the results from that on the 16th June..... am thinking it can't be very urgent if I have to wait that long so have put the thought of an operation to the back of my mind.

For almost two years I have buried myself at home because that is all I could cope with during tx and during the detox process and now I am finding it a little difficult to be the confident person I once was. I am sure this will sort itself out the more I go out and about.

And, we have finally booked a holiday! Again it is almost two years since we had a holiday so it will be wonderful and I'm really looking forward to it.
